Does PNC Financial Services Group offer bonus pay?

Pros

It's generally very quiet here. PNC likes to portray a positive attitude when it comes to treating it's employees. They'll also take you even if you have no banking experience whatsoever which is nice.

Cons

PNC has a bad habit of trying to appeal to people like they're not a corporation when they are and act exactly like one. They've removed several bonuses we used to get that were nice, have unrealistic demands for production regardless of foot traffic and are not competitive when compared other banks for both pay and benefits. Also be warned, I work as an in-store employee and the hours are incredibly awkward. If you do take this job only do so because you need the experience and are planning to move to a better bank sooner rather than later.

Advice to Management

please be more empathetic to your employees and ignore corporate if it makes the life of your employees more miserable. That is one of the main reasons that turn over is so high at PNC.

What are pay raises like at PNC Financial Services Group?

Pros

Work life balance is amazing, not many challenging long days.

Cons

Promotions are difficult to get, raise this year was 3.2% even though performance evaluation was above expectations, raises can be made only in February, salary brackets are very much below average than other companies, had a bank wide survey and compensation was the number 1 con, and not a word was spoken about it at the all hands meeting.

Advice to Management

Give promotions and raises to people that deserve it, which is almost everyone because the employees could be working elsewhere for much higher pay but choose to stay at PNC.
