Does PayPal offer a wellness program?
Pros
Your leader's goal is to make sure you succeed and they meet with you once a week to check in and make sure you're going in a positive direction You meet with your colleagues twice per week to catch up on changes, problems, and sometimes you just have fun bonding They encourage and support diversity Lots of amazing health and wellness benefits Sabbatical (guaranteed paid vacation) at 5 years Maternity, Bonding, Short term, and Long term leave Mostly flexible with FMLA/Disability needs Shift differentials for evenings and weekends Paid Holidays Wellness Days (automatic day off once per quarter that is available outside of PTO/Sick time)
Cons
You deal with employees who are calling you for help and sometimes that can be annoying. Not because it's their fault they didn't get trained but because they often feel the need to "know more" than they do and lie to you about what they did and didn't do to resolve the issue. This can lead to a lot of running around in circles and wasting time until you figure out the original EASY solution was never taken as the employee lied about trying that already. There are inconsistencies too often that have to do with a lack of communication between departments, levels of management, and training teams. This makes more work for this position as we often fill in the blanks. Sometimes even WE are given the wrong information. You deal with Karen's. You must learn to politely tell people no. "No. We cannot do that for you today. Regardless of your logical reasoning for why you should have this option, you do not have that as an option. Thank you. Have a good day." These kinds of conversations make up about 30% of your job so it's not terrible. (Plus we're allowed to tell abusive/threatening customers we will disconnect the call if they don't straighten out.)

Does PayPal offer life insurance?
Pros
Good work/life balance, they usually respect employees shifts without the need to work overtime. Most teammates and leaders are kind and polite. Great life insurance, holidays and flexibility.
Cons
Unclear business strategy, frequent changes in functions (accumulating tasks of different teams), could be better organised (lack of support, guidance and appropriate procedures, tasks are not properly distributed, many system issues, poor training). Favouritism. Salary below market average. Senior leadership is not aware of all issues. Many leaders do not care about employee wellbeing, often cancelling 121s or using it only to give employees more additional tasks that only benefit leaders, instead of listen to the employee.
Advice to Management
Listen more to all employees, be interested in their opinion, in what they are doing, in how they are feeling and be altruistic. Start prioritising tasks instead of giving employees “urgent” tasks only to “impress” senior management with unnecessary presentations. Prioritise the formulation of adequate trainings and procedures in a reasonable time to form qualified professionals.
Great life insurance, holidays and flexibility.
