How are the career development opportunities at Places for People?
Pros
With the right manager, opportunities are vast, career progression is excellent and there is a real sense of family in some teams. There is some really strong, inspiring leaders who will willingly support staff to grow and succeed. Flexible working
Cons
Business processes are not clear, Toxic, incompetent managers are allowef to lead by fear and intimation, quite a contradiction to the the companies SPIRIT values, some senior staff do not apply these values and it would appear, a blind eye is turned in these instances. Pay isn't great and whether your experience here is good one or bad one very much depends which manager you end up sitting under.
Advice to Management
Take a more active role in speaking to front line staff and investigating concerns around poor processes or poor leadership . Overall PfP can be a fantastic place to work and there is some outstanding senior leaders but some teams would benefit from an open and transparent conversation with those in senior positions and senior staff would benefit from a better understanding of how their front line staff really feel in their day to day role.

Salary and company car not much else.

Advice to Management
Appreciate the skills and experience of your staff, embrace and evolve with them, not despite them. Challenging your staff is not about pressurising until breaking point it’s about supporting them. Aggressive management breeds fear and resentment not motivation
