What is working from home like at REPL Group?

Pros

My time at REPL was really great and I have very fond memories of my time there. I was an application consultant to begin with then got promoted to senior consultant along the way. The job is both challenging and rewarding which keeps you very satisfied. I got to travel around Europe (primarily Sweden) working with a variety of talented people, not all roles require travel but mine did. My time at REPL enabled me to up skill on my WMS knowledge to become a recognised functional consultant. They are a lovely bunch and you can talk to anyone from consultants you work with all the way up to the CEO and board of directors. Everyone is friendly and really interested in what you have to say, which was great as you have chances to shape the company / improve the company with ideas and innovation the longer you work there. I did leave REPL group but it was not due to anything negative, the skills I learnt while at REPL allowed me to pursue a self employed contracting career. Without REPL support and experience that would not have been possible. I definately left REPL on amazing terms, which is lovely. I follow REPL Group on LinkedIn to keep up to date with their development and progress and can see that they are going from strength to strength. REPL are continuously learning and listening to their current and former employees and implementing processes and procedures to remedy any employees negative experiences (if they occur) as well as enhance an already fantastic culture and work environment. Now the big question for me is would I choose to go back and work for REPL? I have to say honestly I would 100%. And if I found myself in a position where I wanted to move jobs REPL would the the first and maybe only company I would apply to. I will always view working for REPL as one of the highlights of my career! And I am sure many who are working there or have worked there would feel the same. If you get a chance to apply for a role within REPL, please do as I am sure you will love working there!

Cons

As with most jobs there are some cons, but I would see these as minor or areas where I could work with REPL to improve those areas. When I worked at REPL the holiday entitlement was 20 days which was below the national average. However this was brought to the attention of REPL and the directors who listened and increased the holiday entitlement to match the national average. Also travelling weekly to consult at customer sites, although was fantastic sometimes you do burn out or need a break or if your personal circumstances change. Again raising this with REPL they listen and now there is an improved home / work life balance where remote work is also supported allowing you to split your week between on site work and remote work from home. It is important to know here that for my role it was originally 70-80% travel and this was understood when I accepted the role so to request change to this and essentially my contract it was nice that REPL took this on board and worked with me to give me a better home / work life balance. So as you can see REPL did have some cons however they are constantly improving and learning and worked with me to address the issues I had.

Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your employees and work with them to ensure REPL is still that same great place to learn, make friends and have have really great job satisfaction and work / life balance.
