Does Remington Hotels offer disability insurance?

Pros

The cost of healthcare is good. Comparable to other very large hotel companies. There is a good amount of flexibility, as there are very few structured policies. If you work in corporate position, there is flexibility to work remotely.

Cons

Zero maternity (or paternity) leave. (Short term disability does not count as Maternity leave in 2020, having a child is not a disability.) The vacation policy is horrible. ZERO vacation days until you have been with the company for one year. Then maximum of two weeks until you have been with the company for five years. If you work on property, there is zero flexibility to be remote, even if your position allows it.

Advice to Management

Time off policies are extremely outdated and do not promote quality of life, these should be reviewed and there should be flexibility.

Pros

Employee discount for travel at times

Cons

Unorganized Dishonest Greedy Uncaring Extremely long hours Have to work a year before getting vacation time Corporate doesn’t care about the little people

Advice to Management

Respect your team members, thank and acknowledge them for going above and beyond. Listen to their concerns and offer solutions instead of this is the way things are were not changing them mentality.

Does Remington Hotels offer a wellness program?

Pros

I have been at Remington for about 3 months and have learned so much. They are a great company to work for. Everyone is really nice and helpful. I have received amazing training from my boss and I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity. Management is great. This industry is changing but you can tell that Remington is willing to make changes that improve the company. You can tell how much the CEO cares about the company, and I really appreciate that as an employee. If you are thinking about applying here, I would recommend it. They have great health benefits and a fantastic wellness program. We even have a gym at the corporate office. I have really enjoyed my job over the last few months, and I am very thankful I get to learn from all the experienced professionals at Remington.

Cons

Some of the technology could use some improvement but its a very minor problem that I know we are working on solving.

Advice to Management

Thanks for making Remington such a great place to work.

They have great health benefits and a fantastic wellness program.

How are senior leaders perceived at Remington Hotels?

Pros

Very straight forward goals for everyone, ACHIEVE the 5 DRIVERS. They are the basic business requirements by all major companies so nothing new or overly complex. Terrific networking within company and best practices shared so when having an issue, many best practices are at hand as a valuable reference tool. The average may be 3 DRIVERS achieved(?) and the REM Corp staff is very supportive. The COO is very-very receptive to new ideas and has created a GM Council of 13 so to have a sounding board to assist in implementing changes which GM's in the field all appreciate. Sloan listens and encourages for thoughts to be "bubbled up."

Cons

We continue to get the word out of how the work/balance life has immensely improved for all associate levels from what it was years ago. Remington is a very professional rewarding company so spread the good word.

Advice to Management

Like everyone we have many updates and enhancements to on- line information and new reports. Are we moving to quick at times on too may at the same time?

The COO is very-very receptive to new ideas and has created a GM Council of 13 so to have a sounding board to assist in implementing changes which GM's in the field all appreciate.
