What is health insurance like at Schlumberger?

Pros

Good benefits (health insurance, 401K), very structured, mobility is expected (good for those who are ready to move around), great IT support and strong Human Resources HR is good at helping to manage the employee's careers.

Cons

If you don't want to move around the country or overseas, your career will be stalled. It's not very good at promoting strong technical employees

Does Schlumberger offer sponsored degrees?

Pros

Good health insurance, some people still care but, becoming the minority.

Cons

Watch your back, every person for themselves. Professional growth lacking, no tuition programs for employees, unless of course your in HR.

Advice to Management

Face reality, the company isn’t what it used to be. Average at best, CEO dragged the company and its heart (employees) through the mud.

Does Schlumberger pay for a gym membership?

Pros

- It has diverse cultures of people from different backgrounds and countries - Get to enjoy gym benefit as an intern also

Cons

- As abformer intern I did not get any feed back from the management regarding my performance throughout 6 months - Job scopes were not clear and would be assigned for easy tasks only

Advice to Management

- Intern needs to learn also

What is the retirement plan like at Schlumberger?

Pros

Great 401k match and good benefits

Cons

Layoffs all the time Management knows absolutely nothing HR is clueless and does not care about the employee Management promotes based on who will stay up and work 24 hours in a day More benefits are given to employees that are non resident A lot of clueless co workers

Place qualified people in positions
