Stretched a little thin during the pandemic, but that’s not unexpected or unique to this company, and they are bending over backwards to staff up again, but facing a labor shortage in the industry.

Does Stonebridge Companies have any sort of mentoring programme?
Pros
I've enjoyed my experience working with Stonebridge over the years! - Value hard work - Encourage ambition and training - Opportunities for growth - Great travel opportunities and discounts - I've worked for some great managers and had fantastic coworkers through which I have learned a lot, created some lasting friendships, and made great business connections
Cons
- Continue to work on better communication between corporate and the field - Continue to bring back incentive and bonus programs (still returning after COVID) - Onboarding and training at the hotel level need to be more consistent among properties
Advice to Management
Truly practice what you preach. If the statement and mission is that we value people, let's continue to be mindful that we are in the business of people and not just think about the bottom line. Yes, a business needs to make money, but if we take care of our people, pay them fair wages, and listen and respond to their feedback regularly, this will make us THE company to work for and will ensure we have high retention, happier guests, and more revenue.

Why do Stonebridge Companies employees quit?
Pros
Great group and community of hard workers that really care about their co-workers.
Cons
Management refused to provide the financial support or investment necessary to really make the hotel a success. It was forever an uphill battle and nothing we did was good enough. Even while receiving top customer service reviews, we were told we "weren't smiling enough." It was ridiculous and lead to extreme psychological burnout that I'm recovering from. When the hotel finally closed (after I had left my position), employees were only given 72 hours notice. This company has no respect or compassion for its employees.
Advice to Management
Invest in your properties AND your employees!
