How are the career development opportunities at Strathspey Labs?
Pros
Given full salary during lockdown (but mandatory fieldwork was also there in those periods). Few good and very helpful people in PMT, Admin, Distribution. They had very high contribution in company's growth. But all of them have started leaving/left because of poor management and policies. Salary comes on time for lower levels. Internal promotion rate is high (because of high attrition)
Cons
Top management is the biggest problem. Extremely rude and noney-minded group of people. There is no focus, no planning. All decisions are made out of nowhere and without any basic logic. They do not know anything about the industry or managing a company. But talks like they are the industry leaders. They will bad-mouth about other big established companies in the training/meeting and do not realise that some experienced person sitting there might have worked in those big companies and knows the reality. Everything is done to attract foreign investment. Then that fund is further invested in market to make profit instead of putting it in the company. Running or growing this company is not the goal. They want to attract more investment by making the company look large on paper. Company behaves like a fraudulent company in financial matters. Vendors payments are not given unless they take legal action or sends collection agents to office. Lots of financial mismanagement, bounced cheques creats a fraud like situation everywhere. HR department is useless. Zero coordination. Appointment letter is delayed for month after month. You wil not receive it without hundreds of phone calls and mails. Hires freshers without any logic just to have manpower on paper, to satisfy investors. They are thrown out within 2-3 months ruining their career. Does not focus or invest on training and development even for freshers. A fresher receives 50+ product training in 1-2 days of online training only. Products are high price but low quality. Drs complain about quality all the time. Some products look so bad that Dr rejects them as fake. Huge stock shortage all the time due to vendor payment issues. But company will ask to complete target with available products that no one uses. Your relationship with your customer will get destroyed if you represent this company. People are not treated as human. Very high attrition rate. In some states entire team joins and then leaves within 2 months, repeatedly. In some states there is no team because no one is joining due to this and the bad reputation in the market. Freshers are taken randomly and then thrown out after few months. Managers are not given any time to develop team and customer. Previously there was huge issues with local unions due to sudden firing. Senior managers salaries are delayed regularly. Expense has a two months cycle. PF is not deposited months after months. Deducts tax from everything, but does not provide tax deposit certificate. Sometimes tax is not deposited at all. Incentive is only on paper, they will find some way to deny your incentive. They falsely claim they are an US based company. Do not believe it. Actually they are based at Kolkata with another office at Hyderabad. If you are a fresher or experienced, do not join here. It will destroy your entire career, ruin your relationship with your customers. Join here only if you have lost your job and need one only for few months to get back in the industry. Please do a market survey before joining, talk to ex-employees, Drs, stockists, vendors 1st.
Advice to Management
A company runs on its people. They are not just use and throw materials. Management should learn about the industry, role of HR-training and development, strategies, how to run a company and focus on their logical plan first before hiring and firing good hardworking people. Must stop playing with people's career for their own profit.
It will destroy your entire career, ruin your relationship with your customers.
