Does Swaniti Initiative offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

1) You'd get more opportunities to lead initiatives independently 2) The lack of a structured work environment can also bring flexibility (in some ways) 3) State Teams have done interesting work, and it's nice to work directly with government agencies, so a potential here

Cons

1) Not a place for early career professionals: Governance, in general, is an opportunistic space, so that may impact your progress and interest when you're starting out 2) The organization is a family-run initiative which disables you from having a transparent relationship with the leaders of the organization 3) Delhi HQ can be a low-enthusiasm work environment, rather disquieting (or some). They proctor to keep a check on HQ employees a little too much 4) Lack of Flexibility: They have a 9-hour work day and you're not compensated for the extra hours you may have to put in on your personal time. Added to this, they don't provide the option to work remotely, especially through COVID

Advice to Management

1) I do believe that the organization holds potential but it would be really helped by a little more structure and strategic direction. What tops the list of suggestions is it not being a family-run initiative 2) Do a skill assessment of what you want out of the employee, devise KRAs, and expect appropriate returns

How is management perceived at Swaniti Initiative?

Pros

None. There is no growth for employees.

Cons

The worst place to work. Very toxic work environment, not at all gender inclusive. Dominated by a few managers who doesn't allow women to grow. Human resource team, which is expected to be very neutral in the organisation favours only male managers. There is no mechanism to address employee's concerns. Discriminated pay scale and work environment.

Advice to Management

1. Need to have a professional and dedicated team handling HR. 2. Ensure inclusive treatment for women. 3. Please set pay scales as per employees qualification. Don't under pay a few and over pay the managers. 4. Respect employees.
