Pros

Often feels like an extended family. Lots of support from staff. Medical benefits have been great. Don't seem to hold a grudge if you leave. Will often welcome you back if things don't work out.

Cons

Salary's do not compare to industry and therefore great staff leave for more money. Often push for "emergency" information but then never hear about follow through. Not many opportunities for growth professionally or to increase pay. Professors don't earn vacation time. Are expected to respond to students within 24 hours therefore basically working 7 days a week. Schedule mandatory activities during breaks making it hard to take time off. President of University seems disconnected.

Advice to Management

Follow through and update on all the projects that staff contribute to. Give Professors vacation time. Clear path for personal and financial growth. Leadership (University President) needs to be more involved and visable.

Medical benefits have been great.
