At Virginia Mason the staff are always friendly and upbeat and I am fortunate to work with some very remarkable individuals. How was the interview at Virginia Mason?

Pros

Honestly I can’t think of anything . Literally go work at any other hospital in Seattle you will be better off.

Cons

The nightmare starts with the interview process and never ends. They care more about operating Toyota manufacturing style than common sense.

Advice to Management

Just leave. Or stay, actually, because none of us want to see you ruin any of the other decent hospitals around here.

How do employees feel about the requirements to work at Virginia Mason?

Pros

Used to be a team that supported employees and provided the upmost in patient care.

Cons

Managers are less than qualified to their job, they lie about providing training, HR doesn't care about the employees at all. Don't dare say anything to the HR department you will not have your job almost immediately after contacting them. They boast as a teaching hospital, which is a direct lie. They do not help their employees and do not care about hostile work environments. They do not care if your a new employee, if you don't "fit in" but are good at your job it doesn't matter. Seattle is going down hill fast and VM is one of the organizations causing it to happen.

Advice to Management

Learn your job, learn how to manage, take care of your people vice treating them like they have the plague.

Managers are less than qualified to their job, they lie about providing training, HR doesn't care about the employees at all.
