Healthcare benefits could be better.

Good medical benefits if you are ok with seeing all Virtua providers. This was not a concern for me because of the quality of the care. PTO is accrued and bundled into sick, personal, vacation, etc which starts at 5 weeks and increases at 4 years. There is a strong sense of community at each location. Staff is truly polite and kind, each person feels valued and that their needs are considered by the organization. Good educational opportunities and opportunities for continued education for staff, including tuition reimbursement. Virtua is located in a region where there is high competition amongst neighboring healthcare organizations. Because of this, they consistently seek to improve patient outcomes and make an impact on their community. I find that this greatly adds to job satisfaction for its employees, knowing their organization will not become stagnant and strive to be a leader in healthcare.

Have to use PTO for holidays. Organization is somewhat top-heavy.

Management works everyone very hard all the time. The healthcare environment is extremely intense. Managers are frequently asked to work on other projects taking their focus away from their main area of focus. Very stressful. 24 hour helpdesk environment.

Make the daily workload more manageable for everyone.
