What is health insurance like at phs Group?

Pros

I have worked for PHS Group for just under 12 months now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working for such a professional company who works in partnership with their customers to achieve the best service and innovation for the right price to the customer. The back of office support is second to none. The Management is exceptional and work with you to encourage you to grow and blossom

Cons

PHS is such a vast company and I would expect an employees benefit scheme like many other companies have as standard, with discount cards, savings cards, health insurance and purchase of extra holidays

Advice to Management

I would like to see more benefits being added for employees to access, in previous employment I have been able to purchase up to three weeks holiday paid each month, so that is does not affect your wage so much. I also had savings cards for M & S, Primark and Boots, among just a few that gave us discount, so I paid for example £7 to gain £10 on my card. I also was able to purchase holiday insurance and health insurance for myself and my family which again was paid monthly. I also bought shares in the companies I have worked for too. PHS needs to look at different things for their employees to benefit from

Cons

Advice to Management

If you’re used to a sales environment it’s a good experience and career path to choose but you also have to have a passion for the products and drive in order to be able to sell washroom services as people don’t tend to change those very often.

How are the career development opportunities at phs Group?

Pros

Amazing culture. Lots of people have been here their whole career People are willing to speaking up which is a good thing....I get lots of questions and feedback (good and bad) Great career opportunities...there is more to phs than meets the eye. Greenleaf, Teacrate, Direct365, Besafe, Compliance, Sekonten, phs Direct Great products.....the best in the industry Service drivers are really impressive. They know our customers better than anyone else in the company The best service network in the UK. We look after over 240k washrooms Our lifecycle plant provides a real green solution to customers. No other company has this

Cons

We need to improve our service delivery but we are working hard on this We need to listen to our customers and be more customer focused. We have plans to improve this We are improving the way we communicate with our colleagues in phs. We recently introduced a quarterly video conference where all employees can participate and ask questions. It seemed to go down well

Advice to Management

Hmmmm.....that's a bit tricky. This is a question better answered by others There is lots to do but we have a great team and we are launching a new growth plan in September. I would encourage all management to get out and meet customers and spend time with our front line staff regularly

Great career opportunities...there is more to phs than meets the eye.
