I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Salem, NH) in Mar 2018
Interview
If you are a driven salesperson, you may want to reevaluate wasting your time applying to ADP. I made it to the final stage in the interview process (the sales role play) and was randomly called beforehand, and told that they decided to move in another direction and that I was no longer being considered for employment. The process was almost 2 weeks of frequent interviews (2 phone screenings, 2 separate in-person interviews, a sales ride-along (going for a field ride with one of the current sales reps at the company). If you are actively looking, and schedule multiple interviews per week, do not waste your time interviewing with ADP. All your time will be dedicated to them! I saw other reviews on here saying that the ride-along is only a few hours, at least in my situation, it was ALL DAY. My ride-along was scheduled for 9:30 and lasted until 5PM. All UNPAID. Not to mention I feel like I was set up for failure when, 15 minutes into my ride along, the rep told me that I shouldn't speak to customers and just "let him do all the work." Since I'm currently in the job market, I've faced rejection before; but nothing ever like this. The unprofessionalism throughout the whole process makes me surprised that companies like this even exist. The interviewers act like they are gods, and speak down to you during the interviews. This includes asking degrading and disrespectful questions The ones I have included in this review are REAL questions that I was asked. I wasted so much time for them to tell me that they're moving "in a different direction." Keep in mind, for ADP you are selling a payroll software solution, and if this is the kind of effort they require just to sell for them, you may want to consider other sales positions.

Question 1
You seem like you get everything that you want, what makes you think you deserve this position?
You know, I don't even need to hire right now. I'm just feeling out the current talent in the area. If I don't need to hire, why should I still consider you?

Question 1
Why do you desire a sales role, especially one with lots of cold calling?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Kendall, FL) in Jul 2024
Interview
intense and brutal for no reason. The first round of interviews is a 30 minute conversation with the recruiter. The second round interview will be with the vice president and some of the sales manager. They were 45 minutes late to my interview, only for me to find out that I was never on their schedule. So the people that I prepared to interview with from the email were not the ones who interviewed me. Extremely unprofessional and unprepared third rounds of interview, you will be on the field with a sales consultant for the first four hours, uncompensated. You will visit some of their accounts with them and then come back to the headquarters to do an hour and a half interview with the vice president and some of the sales managers. Then they will conduct a role-play with you. Don’t sweat it, they understand that this is an entry-level job and you have no prior experience. my best tip is to be prepared to have pushback. The point is not to close the deal but to ask the right questions. Strongly advise to be prepared and do not read off of a paper, only bring your questions. after my interview, they told me that they would get back to me by The next day with their decision. It took them two weeks to email me their decision after a week of chasing them down for an answer. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed by this company. The other reviews on glassdoor really matched up to the vibe of the office.

Terrible communication. I was asked when I was available for a final interview and they never scheduled it when I was available. Why ask?. They provided times that I could come in but it would be days before letting me know (ex: telling me on a Mon that I am set for Wed at a specific time )
