      Investment Banking Intern Interview

      23 Jun 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AGC Partners (Boston, MA) in Jan 2010

      Interview

They'll bring you into a room and have you meet with at least one or two people. First you'll meet with the hiring manager and then an analyst or two. The people you'll meet with are always nice and friendly so it should go smoothly. Dress professional and try to be as personable as possible. They look for people who will take it seriously and will be outgoing since most of the higher level people couldn't care less about you.

      Investment Banking Intern Interview

      26 Oct 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AGC Partners (New York, NY) in Oct 2012

      Interview

It started with a conversation with the Execute Administrative Assistant from the Boston office. It was about 5 mins, she asked me about my GPA/SAT scores, if I had received a full time offer from my summer internship, and gave me a breakdown of the daily tasks (i.e. getting coffee for the partners, cleaning up, pitching in with daily tasks). For the NY office there are no analysts, so as an intern, you work with the partners. From the breakdown she gave me, it sounded like the internship is a glorified There is a modeling training session that you participate in every 1-2 weeks via webcam (its in the Boston office). She then asked if I had any questions, I said no, she answered all of my questions, and then she said she will get my information to the senior managers and get back to me. At this point, I withdrew my application from consideration. I do believe though it is followed up with an interview with the partners for the office you are considering. It's not really an internship from the way she described it, just underpaid help around the office.

      Investment Banking Intern Interview

      12 Mar 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AGC Partners (Boston, MA) in Dec 2009

      Interview

There were three interviews with Analysts and one with HR. I sent in my resume and then was invited to the office for the interview. Know why you want to do investment banking and specifically be at AGC. Good culture and good people but a very high turnover rate for the analysts, which is probably not a good indicator.
