Interview
After submitting an application, I got an email asking me to do a math test. Math test is about mental calculation and pattern recognition. After passing the math test, it's a personality test. It covers some personality questions and simple logic questions. The next one is a one-sided interview. It's kind of playing probability game but you actually don't have much time to answer. It heavily depends on intuition.

Personality test: would you prefer to work alone or work in a group?
After passing the online assessments, I moved on to the technical interview stage at Akuna. It was a mix of brainteasers, probability problems, and market-making scenarios. Honestly, it was pretty intense, but the interviewers were super friendly and made me feel comfortable. They guided me through the questions and asked follow-ups to help me explain my thinking better. I liked how it felt more like a conversation than a test. It was challenging but also kind of fun, and it gave me a good sense of what they’re looking for in candidates.

A list of mental math to complete. It is not too challenging if given time to think, but the time limit is very constrained. The recruitment process felt sluggish, as they would only respond or provide the next steps after multiple days/weeks.
