I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ASML (Veldhoven) in May 2025
Interview
t went okay. I had initially applied for a different position, but was rejected. Afterwards, someone from recruitment/HR suggested this vacancy, which turned out to be an internal position.
I was invited for an online interview. The plan was for me to meet with two managers, but only one attended and joined about ten minutes late. Despite that, we had a fairly good conversation, although I sensed they might have already had another candidate in mind. The manager seemed a bit overworked, which I could understand.
Afterwards, I received feedback. They said I came across as a strong candidate, but the manager questioned whether this role would truly make me happy. She explained they were looking for someone who specifically enjoys “problem solving.” Since I hadn’t used those exact words during the interview, they felt I might not be the right fit. Another reason they gave was that I was considered too junior, which makes sense, as this was an internal vacancy and other candidates already had more experience within the company.
Quick and easy. Response was quick as well. Interviewer was sensible with his questions. Really appreciate the process. Could have more technical. It was more about personality and communication. Looking forward for next round or interview if offered.
