I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T in Apr 2015

      Interview

Having applied on a Friday afternoon it took AT&T about 2 business days to get back to me via email asking me to respond with some information and a good time for a call. Once done i revived a phone call from a Staffing Manager almost 2 hours later, we chatted (social skills being tested probably) for about 10 minutes while he set up a Skype interview with another Staffing Manager for the very next day. I was giving lots of material via email to study up on so I could pass the Skype interview with flying colors. This interview was your basic "Why do you want to work for us?" type interview but was still very fun and I got to give lots of great examples from my past employments. At the end of the interview and after I asked all my questions I asked what the next step for me is and they informed me I had passed the interview and I would now move onto the interview with the store manager. She would email me back after she got in contact with the manager and found out some times that they could conduct the interview. I had to drive quite a ways for this interview because this job is in another state, so we set the time up for almost a week from then. I was once again given a large check list for the next interview to make sure I would succeed and it sure did! I went to my interview in a full suit but was told by an employ there that he didn't ware one for his interview, however you can't over dress for a interview so I'd still recommend wearing one if at all possible. This interview was almost 3 hours long and was mostly me asking questions and them answering and then me having more and more questions. From what I gathered that is how this interview is suppose to work and you should come prepared with LOTS of questions about Sales Goals and Attendance and such. At the end of the interview I was asked once again "Why AT&T, and why should AT&T hire you?" followed by a few questions that where simply made to judge someones character (Favored color, song, movie, ect..). After this interview I once again asked what the next step would be and the store manager told me that at this point they send their results on up to the Staffing Manager's I've worked with and they will get back in contact with me. The very next day I received an email asking me for my Tax information and SSN and the day after that I got a call from the first Staffing Manager I worked with with a "contingency offer" as he called it. He told me how much I would be making, went over a few more aspects about the position and when I might be looking at starting my training if i pass my background and drug tests. After this phone call I had about 5 emails waiting for me, one of them being an AT&T new hire information and questionnaire test of some kind, the others having to do with the Hire-Right background check and drug testing times. Working with Hire-Right has always been a bit of a pain, I had to get my Drug test rescheduled to a closer location so I didn't have to drive 4 hours and they not only wanted my DD214 but also my W-2's from my time in the US Army as well as my W-2's from another job whom they could not get into contact with. BE WARNED! They will contact EVERY SINGLE one of your employers and expect you to explain any lack in work history. They will also find out if you lied and said you've worked somewhere longer then you actually had (And if you do that It will probably cost you the job) so if you have to contact your old employers and get some starting and ending dates. I took my drug test the day after I got the contingency offer and made sure to follow up with my Staffing Manager and let him know I've done everything. Exactly a week after my drug test was done I received a call from my staffing manager letting me know I passed everything and when my start date will be, he also told me it is now safe to turn in my 2 weeks for my current employer.

It is a basic customer service and teamwork questions. Asks you to teach them how to do something you're passionate about. Nothing crazy or unexpected. Laid back but professional, answered all my questions as well.
