      Content Writer Interview

      27 Aug 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AXA (Bengaluru) in Aug 2014

      Interview

I got the call through a consultancy for the interview. The consultancy did a bad job and did not mention that it was a walk-in and told me that it was a direct interview. Neither did they inform me about the documents I had to carry. I also had mentioned that I needed to be early that day and asked specifically for them to confirm that I could leave and they said yes. When I reached there, it was a walk-in. The process didn't take an hour like they said and it took a long time. After the online test, they asked us to wait and then just said we could leave for the day without saying anything. A week later, the company's HR calls in the evening to come tomorrow at such a short notice and said there were some technical problems in the test I took and didn't explain what it means and unceremoniously ended the conversation. Someone else from the HR department called a day later and asked me to come for an interview and after much explaining that I'd already given a written test, the HR who spoke to me the other day took the phone and said the 'technical issue' was all the data was lost or some flimsy excuse of sorts without an apology and asked me to come to interview the next day again at very short notice. She said you can come tomorrow for an interview with the concerned person and they will judge you by your "communication'' skills. Their idea to judge a writer by their communication skills is equally ridiculous and when I genuinely expressed my concern about these issues instead of taking feedback, the HR was very rude to me and says AXA is based in France and the company doesn't have time to run behind candidates, if you want the job you have to come whenever they ask. You get calls from the company at 6 pm to confirm for an interview the very next day from both the consultancy they are associated with and the company itself, it shows poor judgement and looks likes the HR's are doing all their work in the evening just to meet some targets. It's apparently not a concern for them if the candidates have other appointments and do not know or understand inter-personal skills. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, it's just not worth going through all the harassment they put you through, and they treated an experienced professional this way and I shudder to think what freshers would have to go through here.
