I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA)
Interview
During several phone interviews I shared that people of color and women in leadership are important to me and in return I was told that Amazon has made tons of changes in that regard. However, during the presentation in front of the interview panel made of 12 men the hiring manager rudely mocked my accomplishments. Another interviewer was on his phone texting and emailing the entire time during the 1:1. All of them had a laptop in front of their faces and typed while you answered. I used to work at Amazon and it is doesn’t feel like the same friendly company as it was before.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.
