Applied for a PM role within an expanding team - very quick turn around for first chat with HR.
Chat was scheduled for 45 mins, ran to 90m, and recruiter was late - not a great start!
was advised ASAP that I was put forward to next round. Before next round, contacted again by same HR rep through LinkedIn was I interested in the role - um, yes, I've already applied - so little laugh over that.
Did 1 more phone interview and their on-site day of interviews. Big emphasis on dressing casually - glad I didn't do it too casual as it was not that dressed down in there!
There was no one at reception who knew I was arriving, and the contact I was given was off, and never passed the message on - I was asked what meeting room, and left to set up the conference call, and Skype myself. No one at all to support. Its probably part of their weird problem solving experience.
I had been advised to negotiate on offer - which I attempted, but was unsuccessful in doing. During the F2F with the last interviewer I had my doubts as to if this was right for me - I was then very aggressively forced to respond within 1-2 working days of getting the offer, I initially accepted, and didn't sleep that night. We then spoke about my current notice period - which made them aggressive again, so due to that + all the current press with them, as well as in parallel doing an interview with a competitor I realized that this was not the place for me! Pay offerred was acceptable, with stock and sign-on, but the place wasn't going to be the right fit.
