      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Express (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Apr 2013

      Interview

Applied online and took aptitude test. Received a call within 3 hours to set up a screening interview. The screener, was unfriendly to the point of being rude. She said she would call on Thursday and did not give a time frame for the call. Received the call at about 9:45 am. She again sounded as if she was annoyed with having to do this, was not engaged, and seemed like she just wanted to get off the phone. I was questioned why I wanted to leave my current position and what my duties are, why I had left my previous position, whether I had worked with metrics and what were they, why I wanted to work from home and what my salary requirements are. I asked about shift differentials which she answered and a question about the equipment required which she could not answer. She then said I'd either get a phone call or an email and hung up. On the following Tuesday I received a decline email. I'm not sure whether I answered a question wrong or if she was simply in a bad mood. I feel that no matter what I said she would have written unfavorable comments. I hope that isn't true but I had a very bad feeling about the interview within 5 min.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The most difficult question concerned the metrics where I work since I have 2 sets of metrics one for calls and another for case reviewing.
