I posted my resume on Monster.com NOT seeking a job as a salesperson at all, but I immediately received a phone call from American Income requesting an interview. The girl on the phone told me I would be interviewing for the benefits representative position but it was really for an insurance agent.
I knew something was up when after I scheduled my interview, I received a follow up email to confirm my interview and the email noted "professional attire is required." Everyone should know to dress professionally for an interview and the fact that they make a habit to remind people they interview to do this makes me wonder the type of people they interview and makes me think they really are not picky.
I arrived at the office to be interviewed and walked into a waiting room full of people. It was very chaotic. I had to sign in at the front desk. Then they hand me a clipboard with an application to fill out...i guess they lost my resume?! While I was sitting in the waiting room full of people waiting to interviewed, I heard a lot of commotion going on in the office; people shouting, running around, etc. I don't know if these people running around were employees or people they were interviewed, but either way: lower you voice; its not that hard. My eardrums were hurting. At one point, this guy walked past the waiting room, SCREAMING at the top of his lungs: "All agents in my office!" And I mean, he SCREAMED this. Very chaotic and unorganized workplace.
After that happened, I asked the lady at the front desk where the bathroom was and I never came back.
