      Insurance Agent Interview

      17 Jan 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Tukwila, WA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Income Life (Tukwila, WA) in Nov 2019

      Interview

So many red flags it's not even funny. If you don't run from this company after reading this review, you are one stupid person. RUN. One big red flag, I looked at the reviews, some of the positive reviews are definitely fake, you could tell, to keep their overall review score from tanking from all the real reviews by actual people that worked there. Any company that has upper management that creates fake reviews for their company is trash, and showcases directly their poor leadership, values and level of integrity. It's one thing to have a bad culture and bad reviews. It's on another level of trash when upper management stoops to creating fake reviews as fake employees to paint a false picture of what their company is like. Interview was easy as cake. You will get hired to work there if you simply want to work for them. Another red flag, I realized after the phone interview I had with the recruiter, they didn't even give me the company's name that I would be interviewing for, all they gave me was the address and time of interview through text. I texted them for the company's name, no response. I texted them again later, no response. I called them, no response, I called again later no response. I only realized after the interview why they didn't bother giving me the company name, because I would have found all the negative reviews on glassdoor and not even bothered wasting my time coming for the on-site interview. Another red flag, you have to pay for training. Any company that makes you pay for their training to work for them is objectively speaking absolute garbage or some kind of scam. If a company can afford to hire you for an entry level job, but can't afford to train you, and even worse require you to pay for the training to be able to do their job, that is what you call a garbage company. Another big red flag that I saw during the on-site interview, this is 100% commission-based. Any company that has roles that are 100% commission and offers no base pay is a SCAM. Every legit sales job will have a base pay. It's one thing if you're an entrepreneur. But if you're working for another company, and it's 100% commission, it reeks of scam, shady, scam shady scam shady. Get the picture? Oh another Red flag, crazy right? If the company claims "unlimited earning potential" "unlimited income potential" , something along those lines, which they do. Man. Run. RUN. You are very naive and stupid if you read this and still choose to work for them and deserve to get exploited by this company. This company is what you call part of the scum of the Earth with regards to all the different companies you can for. You've been warned!

      Interview

Interview so far was fair, mainly a presentation about the company, in group setting, with a manager 1:1 afterwards. Overall more a discussion than an interview, with a signup to start learning for the licensing exam.
