I didn't apply, the recruiter contacted me. He seemed disorganized and his system sent me reminder emails after I had already responded. Then, after two phone interviews with the recruiter, I had an hour-long phone conversation with the supervisor of this position and then a 1.5 hour interview with a panel at their office. They all seemed perfectly nice but they kept saying things like "This is a really hard job. How do you handle stress?" and strongly implying that they work 24/7 whenever there's an emergency (when is there not?).
I sent thank yous to everyone and got no response to a question I asked, after being assured I could ask questions "any time." Over a month has now gone by and I've heard nothing from the recruiter. Obviously I didn't get the job and I didn't want it given the way they presented it as extremely stressful and difficult, but never speaking to someone who has spent weeks going through your interview process is beyond unprofessional.
