4 rounds:
- Recruiter Screening
- Hiring Manager Interview
- Prioritization Case
- Stakeholder Interviews
I had a really good experience during the first 2 rounds. The third round turned my experience from positive to negative. While there are a few things, I could have done better in the case, I had a subpar interviewer. I spent 5+ hours to do the research and prepare my story and have no regrets on the time spent. I just wish my interviewer was prepared as well. Half way through the interview, he was asking questions that were provided as a part of the case prompt. When I asked him if he would like me to go over the prompt, he said that he has seen multiple prioritization cases in the past so there is no need. Having interviewed Product Managers, I know that understanding the specific objectives of the exercise and data provided is really important when going through such a case. If I can spend 5+ hours on the case, I dont think it is unfair to expect my interviewer to atleast go over the 2 page project prompt and the slides before the interview. To sum it up it went from a great to a disheartening interview experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Behavioral and resume based questions for initial interviews. Prioritization case for the third one.
Standard call with recruiter then hiring manager and multiple rounds. It wasn't a really positive experience. It felt kind of like they were just trying to get innovative ideas from me

Question 1
Tell me about a time when your team disagreed with you
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Angi
Interview
Recruiter + hiring manager. All very standard questions about my experience and my prior product roles / launches. I dropped out of the interview process early so did not complete the final rounds
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Angi (New York, NY) in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process was only 3 steps - recruiter call, hiring manager call, and then a take home project. The project requests that the candidate to solve a real-time company problem, poorly veiled with dummy data. I have spoken to many other candidates who also did this project, and the roles were never filled. This unpaid crowd sourcing is unethical, and shows that Angi does not value candidates.
