First, video interview with store manager and second video interview with regional manager. Typical questions and format. They tell you about themselves and their career with the organization, ask you about yourself, and then a couple of different scenarios. Turns out they already had an internal candidate in mind. Would have liked to have known that in advance.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, Have you ever had to deal with a team member that wasn't meeting expectations but didn't agree with your assessment about their performance, Tell me about a time where upper management didn't buy into an idea you had, etc
When interviewing they asked me my coaching style, and how I would address an underperforming employee. Also what I would do in a difficult situation. Although I did not get the job, it helped me feel better in a interview process
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Athleta (San Jose, CA) in Dec 2023
Interview
I had an in person interview with the store manager, and then a second video interview with a colleague of his (i think this was because they didn’t have a district manager at the time). It went really well and I enjoyed the conversations from both interviews! They ended up going with an alternative candidate, but communicated clearly & that’s all you can really ask for when job searching.

Question 1
This was for their Customer Experience ASM — they asked about my leadership style & how I like to coach customer service.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Athleta (Nashville, TN) in Nov 2022
Interview
They weren't really selling the job to me, it seems like no one stays here long term and no one is satisfied with the company or experience. I have never been in an interview like this before, why try to hire people if you aren't willing to try to make it sound like a good opportunity?
