Applied online. Called someone I knew at the company whom I thought had changed jobs into a similar area and asked if they could tell me about the position. The person wasn't in the same area but in a related one. The person recommended me to their manager, who apparently recommended me to the recruiter or the hiring manager. I had a phone interview to set up the 1:1 interview. I interviewed with 2 people at the same time who used a conversational approach / question and answer approach to interviewing me. They didn't ask any behaviorial interview type questions. They told me that I was one of the first people that they'd interviewed and that they would take another couple of weeks of first interviews before they decided whom they'd bring back for second interviews.
