I applied on their website. A recruiter contacted me about the position and scheduled an interview with the CISO.
I had a Webex with the CISO which was very informal and a casual discussion about my experience, the hospital system and cybersecurity.
A few weeks later they scheduled 3 interviews in the same day with 4 team members (2 on each call) and a followup with the CISO. The conversations were again informal discussions about my experience, the job , the nature of the hospital's current cybersecurity challenges and future growth.
After over 3 hours of interviews, several weeks later I received the automated WorkDay 'we are no longer pursuing you as a candidate' e-mail. It feels cold, impersonal and insulting as a candidate - considering this is the same e-mail you would receive if you never had the opportunity to interview.
I have received this before as an applicant here and at other organizations, but after hours of active interviews it's off-putting and makes me hesitant to apply in the future if this is how candidates are treated.
This isn't my first time applying here, and the recruitment process has consistently been unorganized, misinformed or a black hole of communication and reflects poorly on the organization.
