      Customer Experience Representative Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BioRender in Sept 2022

      Interview

From the beginning, it becomes very apparent that BioRender cares about it's employees and it's culture. The interview process is somewhat lengthy but is incredibly thorough, giving you the opportunity to meet with several members of various teams to establish if you're a good fit. Over the course of 4-5 interviews, you are asked about yourself, your previous work history, as well as your hobbies, and are given the opportunity to ask questions of your own. Everyone I met was very knowledgeable, and were willing to go above and beyond to answer any questions I may have had- even if this involved reaching out to other employees within the organization. It's very clear that the team at BioRender takes pride in the work environment that they are building, which is why they ensure you meet with a variety of employees to get a feel for the company as whole. Overall, this is probably the most enjoyable interview experience I've ever had. I learned a lot about the company and it's employees, and was impressed with how passionate the team was. BioRender seems like an amazing place to work, full of people who love what they do and care about the culture they're building.

      Question 1

Throughout the process, we touched on many topics such as my time in school, previous work history, projects I've been apart of, what I like to do outside of work, as well as my biggest accomplishments. Typical questions were along the lines of: 1) What is an accomplishment that you're most proud of? How did you go about completing/achieving this? 2) Tell me about a time that you had a disagreement with a boss/manager. How did you tackle this? 3) Just some general questions about how you work & solve problems, what resources you use to gather the information needed to complete a task, etc. Many of the questions I was asked came up naturally in conversation, and will probably vary based on your previous positions/work experience. Human Resources also does an excellent job of providing a quick run down of what questions you may be asked, and how to approach them.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BioRender (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in May 2022

      Interview

The interview process is lengthy, but the team is friendly, quick to answer questions, and approachable. As I finished round three of the interviews, I realized I could not commit to the weekly hours they would prefer on top of my university work and another part-time job (oversite on my part!). I took a lot of time to consider whether or not it was worth pursuing this opportunity further but decided against it. I wrote them a lengthy email explaining and not only were they understanding, but they were appreciative that I took the time and encouraged me to apply in the future. Super

      Question 1

Can you remember a time when you had a conflict at work? How was it resolved? What kind of values are important to you in a company you work for? Based on your estimate, how would your former boss at XYZ position rate your performance as an employee?
