Interview
30 min call with a recruiter. Went super well and was told I’d get a second round interview and would hear back 2 days later. Never heard back even after following up 2 times. I then received an email 2 weeks later rejecting me from the position. I had a great conversation with the recruiter and felt that I was a top candidate for the role, so this outcome was a total blindside and left a bad taste in my mouth. Don’t get your hopes up with Brandfolder!

Question 1
What are important factors to you when considering a career change?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brandfolder in Mar 2022
Interview
I was first contacted by an internal recruiter after submitting my application about a week prior. My call with her was extremely great and definitely left a good impression of the company in my eyes as the benefits and pay seemed great and they generally seemed very positive and supportive of their team and applicants.
I quickly got scheduled for the next interview with the hiring manager for the role and it felt like from minute 5 of the interview, everything went downhill. I hadn't said anything out of the ordinary or anything that I wouldn't typically say in an interview but it seemed that after a few minutes, the manager seemed disinterested in my answers and was trying to rush the process along. She would zone out while I was speaking and then only respond with "For sure." whenever I was done. I just felt really disrespected and like I was not even really being considered from the start.
Only about an hour after the interview, I received the rejection email saying I wouldn't be moving forward in the process.
Haphazard, too long, and dishonest.
I raised concerns which were brushed off and those concerns proved valid.
Nice people. But, very disappointing experience. They do not represent the reality of the company. They act like a startup. But, they are bureaucratic and inconsistent.
