Interview
An external recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin. There was a phone screen with her, and then she asked me to follow up with a bullet point email that summarized my experience that is relevant to the requirements of the position. I did that, but also mentioned that I wasn't an exact fit for a few of the requirements and asked her to confirm that this wouldn't be a deal breaker. I did this because I didn't want to waste my time only to be eliminated if the hiring company is looking for a perfect fit. She confirmed that it wasn't a deal buster and suggested proceeding to the next step, which was a video interview with someone else on her team.
The video interview was only scheduled for 15 minutes. At the end of that call, the interviewer informed me that I would be an "out of the box" candidate, because I wasn't an ideal fit with the requirements. This, after her colleague confirmed that it wasn't a problem. Nevertheless, she said she would present my qualifications to her client the next day, and promised to give me prompt feedback either way, since I had invested my time in the process.
It's not surprising that she broke her promise to get back to me. Which is typical with recruiters: they throw slop at the wall hoping something will stick, waste the time of candidates, and always fail to inform the candidate if the client loses interest.

Interview
4 interviews, 1 phone and 3 in-person. Contacted by internal recruiter who passed me along to Senior Director. Great interview and very nice lady. Next round consisted of interview with Senior VP and VP of Client Services. Both also informative interviews with very nice people. I was one of only 2 other candidates, one internal employee and other a current client who applied for position. Was assured I would be contacted by either recruiter or Senior Director I initially interviewed with but still have received no follow up whatsoever, well over a month later. Made numerous attempts by both phone and email but have not been provided with the common courtesy of any response.
