I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CNN
Interview
Had to do the Hirevue pre-recorded questions thing which is always uncomfortable, I thought I didn't do to well but I got past and had a writing test which took no more than 3-4 hours. After that, I interviewed with 4 people including my direct manager and it was basic behavioral questions about interests, goals and writing experience. It seemed like they had sort of decided based on the writing test so make sure to take it seriously if you get one!
it was a Hirevue, they asked typical interview questions like introduce yourself, what challenges have you faced, what's your news diet, etc. took only around 15 minutes to complete but I would do significant preparation.
Very thorough and detailed. There were three rounds of interview, and one of them was online. Then it came to in person interview. I struggled with the online because you have to record yourself and answer their questions with time limits.
I was instructed to undergo a virtual interview on Hireview. I have not heard back yet, but they asked basic questions like "tell us about yourself" and "why are you interested in this internship?"
