I recently had an interview experience with CVS, and while it started out well, unfortunately, it did not end on a positive note. During my initial screening call with the recruiter, she was friendly and provided a good overview of the interview process. The second round was with a hiring manager who was also nice and asked about my prior experience and a few hypothetical questions. After that, I was invited for a full loop, which included a technical assessment, system design, and KYC type of interview. I really enjoyed the technical assessment as the interviewer was knowledgeable and friendly. However, my experience in the KYC and System design interview was unpleasant.
The interviewer came across as unprofessional, judgmental, and self-boasting. He even made a disparaging comment about employees with longer tenure in the company, suggesting that they find loopholes in the system to their advantage. This was not only unprofessional, but it also made me feel disheartened and undervalued.
Furthermore, the interview with hiring leader was scheduled for 45 minutes, but it only lasted 15-20 minutes, which felt rushed. Overall, my experience with CVS was not as positive as I had hoped. I believe that the company should take steps to ensure that all of its interviewers are professional, respectful, and value the experiences of the candidates they interview. While one bad experience does not necessarily reflect the company as a whole, it can impact a candidate's perception of the organization.
I hope that future candidates have a more positive experience, and that CVS can improve its interview process to create a better candidate experience.
