      I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Capgemini Engineering (Rānchī) in Sept 2012

      Interview

      The first round was an Online Test - consisting of Comprehension based section, Verbal and Mental Ability section, Quantitative Aptitude section, and Technical section. The technical section had questions from C- Pointers, Structures, Arrays, Data types etc and also from Data Structures -Linked List, Stacks, Queues, Trees, Graphs, Sorting etc. The technical section was aimed at testing one's knowledge of C and understanding of algorithms. For the Quantitative section, questions were standard, and one had to be quick in understanding and solving the problems. For the verbal and mental ability part, speed and accuracy was the key. For comprehension based section, a good command over English language and a focussed reading was primarily important. Around 550 candidates took the first round, out of which some 220 moved on to the next round. It was a form-filling round, wherein we were given two forms- one was the Aricent application form, which included general details like Name, College Roll no., Aricent Roll number, Present and Permanent address, academic details, details of previous employer (if any) and so on. The other form was the HR form, which had around 8 questions. These questions had to be answered in the space provided after each question. Some of the questions were like - "Write about one such incident where you had to take a very tough decision. What was the outcome of that decision? “ Technical Interview – Here, the questions asked were very fundamental – basic C, Data Structures, OS, Networking and some DBMS .If you have the concepts, answering these questions would not be very difficult. The projects that you have done or mentioned in your resume, will also be asked, so be prepared with that. After this round, those who are selected are required to undergo “Group Discussion”. The topic would be given either by them or you yourself could be asked to decide a topic and then discuss it.GD is not an elimination round, that means only a very few get eliminated from this round. Then comes the final round – HR Interview, where questions will be asked about you, your family, your interest areas, your strengths and weaknesses. You may also be asked about the questions which you had answered in the HR Form earlier. If you are confident, calm and composed, this round would not be difficult. Finally, when the results came the next morning, i was one among the 93 selected for Aricent. It was really a wonderful experience. All the best to all the readers. 
