      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Carahsoft

      Interview

I went through a phone screening first, where they asked about my resume, my interest in the Government Account Representative role, and why I wanted to work with government clients. They also asked about my communication skills, sales interest, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment. After that, I learned more about the company, the role, and what day-to-day responsibilities would look like, such as building relationships with government customers, helping with quotes, and working with vendors. Overall, the process focused on whether I was professional, motivated, comfortable talking to people, and interested in sales/account management.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Carahsoft

      Interview

Have a masters degree but needed a job quick and had a connection here who was in management, so I figured what the heck. There were so many red flags I don't even know where to begin. First I was told the job I was interviewing for was a Project Manager...but then it turned out to be Sales. Had almost weekly calls with a recruiter that went in circles. The recruiter kept asking me questions as to how many positions I was applying for externally, with whom, and how much they paid. One day after I told her she asked if I was "wasting her time" if I truly wasn't interested in the position...which I never said. I did get to speak with a manager and an upper-level executive, both of whom were nice. The recruiter briefed me before each call. I was told that the call with the manager would be the final call and if I did well in that I would get the job...which was concerning to me as they handled everything via phone...not once did we do a video call. I lost it when the manager asked me what my 5-year goal (law school) is and then in response to my answer she said "you better be willing to give up that goal if you start working here!". Didn't hear back from them after that. It's quite clear they are looking for naive people who just graduated from undergraduate. I think she said the position paid $35,000/year. That's less than 3 dollars above DC minimum wage. I will say, however, the recruiter was really nice.

      Interview

I had to interview with four different team leads and then had to interview with the director. Each team is different and has different products so each interview was very different. They were quick, 15-20 minutes each.

      Interview

I had two screening calls with a recruiter before making it to a panel interview with multiple team leads. After my initial panel interview with the team leads, I had a second interview with just a director. I was hired shortly after my interview with the director.
