The interview lacked professionalism and experience, and I was lefting thinking that said interviewer seemed VERY unfit for being in charge of the hiring. The interview was brief, and I was offered the job almost immediately. However, numerous red flags appeared afterward. I was urged to proceed with fingerprinting and other background checks right away. I assumed this meant I'd start working soon. Yet, after weeks of unreturned emails and calls, I was informed that the HR team responsible for onboarding had been away since my interview and would be absent for another week and a half. I was frustrated to learn that all my efforts to complete the pre-employment process were premature, as I couldn't start the job for over a month after our initial meeting. It was never mentioned to me that HR was the only ones who could finalize my hiring, nor that my start date depended on their return.
I expressed my dissatisfaction strongly, as it was clear I wouldn't reach the first day of work. If I had known there would be a delay in starting the job, I wouldn't have rushed to complete the preliminary tasks. This experience has pushed back other commitments on my schedule.
I STRONGLY advise against working for this company due to its lack of professionalism, AND low compensation!
