I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Caribou Coffee (Maplewood, MN) in Mar 2017
Interview
I was called in to interview. I interviewed individually with the store's assistant manager, and he asked pretty general interview questions. It flowed more like a conversation. I was told I would be called to set up an interview, but I ended up being offered the position later that day.

Question 1
Q: Tell me about a time you had to solve a problem.
In person interview after asking for a position in person and receiving a paper with steps to apply online. This was a U of MN caribou so it was pretty straight forward and I was hired after the interview the next day.
Did two interviews. It was cool. But two seemed a bit much for a barista role. But it did show they were looking for someone who was serious. It was pretty laid back and went well

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Caribou Coffee (Saint Paul, MN)

Straight-forward and simple, manager asked me about my experience, my availability, and how my being a full-time student affected my scheduling. Very professional, and clearly had strong corporate standards for processes and dealing with employees.
