      Software Engineer Interview

      5 Dec 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Civil Maps (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2018

      Interview

The interview had 4 different stages. - Initial Screening - Company Overview / Personal Background - Technical Interview - Cultural Interview - Coding Challenge Overall the interviewing team was focused on setting the right expectations and ensuring the candidate had the right skill set. There were a couple points where I got stuck with regards to the coding challenge, and I received just the appropriate amount of information to progress further. I think they were more concerned about my thought process rather than results.
