Applied online and received a phone call from a recruiter a few days later. Basic questions (why did I want to work for their organization, why was I looking for a job, etc) recruiter told me she would forward my information to the hiring manager and if they wanted to move forward I would hear from them about scheduling a in person interview.
I received a phone call the same day from the hiring manager to schedule an in person interview. This interview lasted literally 15 minutes. I was asked maybe two questions. The interviewer told me all about the job, schedule, uniform, etc. At the conclusion, I was told I would be contacted for a peer-to-peer interview.
The following week I went back for my second interview which was with who would be my two coworkers. They took turns asking me questions. The interview was a bit longer but I felt like the “peers” were a bit confrontational with their questioning.
A week later I was told I was moving forward and asked for references. My references were completed within 48 hours and I was asked back for a THIRD in person interview as I was one of three final candidates. I get wanting to hire the right person and being thorough but three interviews is just overkill. Especially when the first two were spent asking very little about my skills and experiences.
I withdrew my application and moved on.
