I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Connor Clark & Lunn (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2023
Harsh, intimidation interview, looking to see if you crack & make a fool of yourself. No matter how much you prepare, doesn't matter. Was overqualified & was grilled the whole interview, doesn't make sense.
- What do you know about CC&L? Tell me something in the news..etc.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Connor Clark & Lunn (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2022
Had a first round interview after a screening call, but it did not go the way I was expecting it. . . . . . . . . . . . .
- The whole time, the interviewer suggested a different position than I applied for.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Connor Clark & Lunn (Vancouver, BC) in May 2022
Was referred to the HR rep through another HR member in Connor, Clark, & Lunn. Interview consisted of a phone screen, but didn't make it past this stage. Only got asked two questions: What is your biggest failure in life and what is your biggest achievement in life. Never got asked to go through my education, background, work experience. I had assumed from this that I wasn't getting past this stage already. Asked the HR employee some basic questions about the role like: is the team working from home, what hours do they work, if they use certain programming languages, what software/applications the team uses. She struggled with answering basic questions about the role and had to do some searching before coming back with an answer, or no answer. This is the second bad experience I had with CCL HR screeners. I'm sure it's a good company, and would have liked to discuss with the actual team members but don't think that is even possible.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Connor Clark & Lunn (Vancouver, BC)
Had an initial phone interview with HR then scheduled 2 other interviews over zoom with a manager, and then the last interview was with the team from the direct department. After the last interview the manager pretty much did not reply at all, ghosted me after such a long process and showing so much interest. Incredibly unprofessional, and I did not hear back until I sent another follow up email and she still did not reply, instead HR emailed me back.. how disgusting and waste of time, I would not want to work there and thankfully I do not.
- What makes you stand out from other candidates? What do you know about CCL?

There were a total of four different interviewers, including three technical interviewers and one final interviewer who was from the senior management. Basic technical questions were asked. Interpersonal questions were also asked. Psychometric personality assessment was done prior to the interview. That's it folks.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Connor Clark & Lunn (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2021
Round 1: With HR, basic phone screening questions about myself and past experience. Round 2: With Director of Investments, asked about experience and expertise. Round 3: With team the person will be working with
- Round 1: What do you know about the firm? Why did you apply? What interest you about the role? Round 2: Mostly left it up to me to ask questions. Explained the role very well to ensure clarity about functions. Asked about my past experience, specific questions about points on my resume. I didn't make it to round 3. Overall good interview experience.

The interview was very thorough and the interviewer was lovely. There was a second interview though, so be prepared for that. I thought the questions they asked were thoughtful and generally applies to the position you are being hired for.
