Converge interview questions

Was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and after a quick call, she set up a meeting with the hiring manager. Spoke with the manager for half an hour and was sent a take home assignment to complete, which took a few hours. Upon submitting my take home assignment, a few days passed and the recruiter contacted me to say she wanted to set up 4 separate interviews with members of the related teams (engineering, UX, product). I blocked off 2 hours over the period of two days and met with the teams separately. Overall I felt pretty confident and thought that the company culture was exactly what I was looking for in my next role. After the last of now 5 interviews, I reached out to the recruiter and sent a thank you email to all that interviewed me. A week passed and still nothing, so I reached out again and was informed that they decided to go with another candidate. I received zero feedback beyond that. I'm still not quite sure what the take home assignment had to do with anything because not a single person discussed it with me. Overall I'm disappointed because of the time invested and the positive feedback I received from most of the interview panel members.
