Contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn who discussed experience and details of the company and interview process. From there I was moved onto a technical phone screen conducted via Zoom and CoderPad wherein I was asked two average difficulty algo questions. Then was moved onto a round which required me to do a take home project which required me to write a load monitoring application from front to back, was given approximately 2 weeks to complete this. Once the project was reviewed I was moved to an onsite wherein there was a system design round, algo based question, and a behavioral interview. They take these interviews along with the take home project to decide on an offer. I received an offer around the same time as a couple other companies and went through a couple rounds of negotiation over the course of 2 weeks. Ultimately they put a deadline on the offer and I was deciding up to the last minute between DataDog and another company. Then suddenly 30 minutes before the offer deadline, the recruiter called me and said they are rescinding the offer because some VP in engineering didn't like the way I solved an algo question during the onsite and therefore I didn't deserve the offer I got. Was not the best experience overall but the recruiter was very helpful throughout the entire process.
