The interview was scheduled for noon, and I showed up at 11:30 because I was unaware the store was so close to my home. I went inside about 10 minutes later and waited for all the customers to leave, and I'm guessing they knew who I was by my nice outfit alone.
A key-holder (assistant manager?) took me to the office and she tried to pull up my assessment results on the computer. They had just updated to a new system and she wasn't fully aware on how to use it. Since she didn't know how, she just asked some basic questions, "Can you perform the requirements of the job? Could you cover shifts at other stores in this area? Are you comfortable working in such a small crew? Are you drama free and laid back? (They were super cool and laid back, it didn't feel like an interview at all.) Do you know how to count back change?" Just some basics..
The store manager came back to the office when she was free of customers, and all three of us just kind of chit-chatted for another 20 minutes or so. The other manager wasn't there, so instead of having me come back for another interview, they called her and asked if she could come in. She couldn't, and she told them to just use their best judgement instead of making me come back. They tried to hire me on the spot (with the new computer system) but they couldn't because they had to wait for the background check to go through.
The next morning, I got an email from DG with a link to fill out all my paperwork, Tax forms, policies, etc.. The paperwork kept mentioning a drug test (where applicable) and told me I had two days from that morning to take it. I never got a notice and the managers never got a notice from HQ that I had to take one, so I'm guessing it wasn't necessary for me to take one. The interview was Wednesday, and I will start working Monday or Tuesday.
