Expedia Group Merchandise Program Specialist - Communications interview questions

5 separate interviews, first phone interview with a recruiter, then video interviews with the manager and team members. Received very positive feedback from all the interviewers, I even asked if industry experience will be a factor and they said no as long as the applicable skills are there. They ghosted me for 2 months and after several follow up emails they messaged me to let me know they decided to hire internally (for the industry experience they said they didn’t need). Overall the process was 3 months. Felt like they were going through the motions to justify an internal candidate and was a waste of everyone’s time
