I applied through university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at FactSet (Norwalk, CT) in Nov 2012
Interview
Met with recruiter at a New York recruiting event through my college. Promise an in office interview during the recruiter interview but had not response from her for 2 months. After 2 months of waiting was flown down and interviewed at the office. It is a round robin interview with current consultants and managers. The consultants were nice but 2 of the managers were very awkward. One question that caught me off guard was: without looking at anything on your resume and not knowing anything about you, tell me why I should hire you? Had lunch with 3 current consultants, all of them seemed very disinterested in the company. Apparently they only hire 7-8 per class at the Norwalk office. Heard back from them less than a week after the interview via email. It was rude that it was a random person I never met before sent me a rejection letter, at least the recruiter who had recruited me could have emailed me.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at FactSet (Hong Kong) in Aug 2024
Interview
Straightforward. You begin with a telephone interview, followed by a group interview with you work on a group project and share a talent/skill you possess. If successful, you will then go through several rounds of interview with hiring manager and other senior stakeholders.

Interview
There was an initial virtual interview with HR and then an interview the the manager from the US. HR lady was friendly and was fast to respond to emails. The manager didn’t seem experienced in interviewing, he said so himself and went for someone that didn’t require onboarding training. He said he doesn’t expect knowledge on equity when being quizzed on it but yet the reason for not getting the role was lack of knowledge on it. Was not pleased with this misleading behaviour. The decision felt rushed as they only gave a reply once I emailed so felt like they already had the candidate chosen.
