Received an email from the District Manager for an interview.
Set-up the interview
Casual interview.
Questions:
What do you know about Fastenal?
Why do you want to work for Fastenal?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
What is one thing that you need to improve?
One time when you solved a problem with a customer and how you made them happy?
Any questions that you want to ask them?
After the interview i was notified that I should hear from them by the end of the week and then i will need to complete an assessment test online.
I received an Email from the District Manager saying.
If you are still interested in a career with Fastenal, please complete the online application (link at bottom of this email) this week.

I followed the link that was provided in the email and it took me to SHL Online assessment test.
Where I was allocated 30 mins to complete the test.
The test consisted of 4-5 parts.
The first part being the most difficult one. You have to read the information whatever the question is about and then answered the questions. However, for this first part of the test you only have 10minutes to finish 20 questions. It was impossible to spend only 30 seconds on each question, to read, understand, interpret, and select among the 4 choices.
I was only able to complete 12 questions and the time was up after it. You are notified at the top of the screen how much time is left and when that timer reaches zero, it pops up on the top saying "Time limit reached" and you have to click "Ok" on that. Upon clicking Ok, you are taken to the next part of the test and from there on it is fairly easy. The next 3 parts were just basically like "I can work under pressure" and 5 choices were given to select "Strongly disagree, Slightly disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree."
After the test is complete, your employer will be automatically informed.
I haven't heard anything back from them yet. And I doubt I will due to the fact that I was unable to complete all questions in the first part.

Interview
A week or two after applying online, I was contacted for a phone interview with HR. About a week later, I was contacted by the General Manager of the store to interview the next day. After the second interview, I interviewed with the District Manager. I was offered the job the next day.
I submitted an application online and received a phone call within one week of applying. Then the next step is a one on one interview with the district manager which is relatively easy
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fastenal (Guin, AL) in Nov 2017
Interview
I received an email about a week after I applied to set up a phone interview. Maybe up to a week later I received another email to set up an in person interview with the general manager. The general manager set me up an interview with the district manager the next day.
