FedEx has chosen to delegate its interview process to an external third party known as Monjin, which conducts interviews randomly. In the case of the architect role, they ask fundamental definitions. It appears that Monjin conducts interviews primarily for monetary compensation without a deep understanding of the talent and specific requirements of the company. It's unclear why FedEx is taking this significant risk, potentially compromising its talent pool.

As a new applicant, I was invited for an interview at FedEx. I arrived at the company's headquarters and was greeted by friendly staff at the reception. I was then escorted to the interview room where I met the hiring manager. During the interview, the hiring manager asked me questions related to my experience and skills. They also asked me about my previous work experience, my availability, and my desired salary. I was able to showcase my abilities and demonstrate how my skills fit well with the company's needs. The interviewer also provided me with an overview of the position and what the job responsibilities entail. After the interview, the manager discussed the next steps, including a background check and additional interviews, if necessary. They also provided me with information on the company's culture and values. Overall, the interview was pleasant, and I felt that the hiring manager was genuinely interested in my candidacy.
