General Atlantic Interview Questions

Interviewed for associate position. Very impersonal process, interviewer arrived late, did not even present themselves and did not say goodbye when leaving the meeting. Did not give a right image on the team culture

First round was an informal chat about CV, deals, etc., with a lot of background provided on GA as a firm, investment strategy, and culture. After that, some room for Q&A

It was a straight forward interview about what I was looking for / have to offer with a member of the team. Was a good conversation, but I eventually decided to pass on the opportunity.

2 rounds, 3 total interviews. Straightforward process with in-depth technical and behavioral questions. All asked similar questions. No case study or additional requirements. Overall a smooth experience. Great company and great work culture.

Conversational. Four interviews. Took about 2 months from applying to the offer. I enjoyed talking to everyone. No hard questions, just about getting to know you as a person. filer filer filer filer

Long but enjoyable - got to meet lots of people throughout the firm; they were kind and friendly and had genuine convos about tech investing. As long as you are passionate and knowledgable, you should not worry.

4-5 individual interviews with associate to MD, then a case, then an interview with the head. Overall fairly sterile environment, but smart people and great deal flow in the growth space. Made it pretty far but wasn’t a cultural fit as I didn’t like the group head.

3 rounds of interviews. Cold-applied. Spoke with a total of 7 team members, mostly vice presidents. I really enjoyed speaking with everyone on the team—a lot of General Atlantic spirit and very personable.

Incredibly rude and entitled in networking session. Uninterested in answering questions or helping me understand the investment philosophy, instead just assumed that I must be interested due to name and AUM.
