I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Guitar Center (New York, NY) in Feb 2013
Interview
Very easy and laid back interview, I wore a button up tee and khakis, they asked me about my past experience with music gear and guitars. I had to call them numerous ones to even get the interview set up and I had to call them to find out I was hired, management was not up on their game.

Question 1
What's the difference between tube and solid state amps?
Well thought out interview pretty easy, I thought it went well but didn't get offered a position. I still feel like they are a good company although I heard they changed there commission structure in the past few years.
Simple and to the point. They want to know if you fit into the company culture. They also want to know what your skill set is as far as musical ability. It is very easygoing and relaxed

Interview
Felt like I was being interrogated or discriminated against, as if this were an important career. Dude, you hire high school students. Give me a break. Avoid applying to guitar center.
